It was just amazing seeing some of our fellow bloggers face-to-face and hearing those sweet voices to go with all of their beautiful faces and spirits! We felt that we caught a little glimpse of the Kingdom! Cheryl and I sat all day, through sunset and into the night, in wonder to be a part of a crowd of 10,000+. We arrived Friday to horrible weather. Fog, rain, and humidity. But by morning God honored all of the prayers to provide the most beautiful fall day in the rolling mountainous area with the trees just touched with the fall colors beginning to show.
Their were soooo many youth having such a great time. And the families and babies! And everyone was having a wonderful time! Babies did not cry and children and teens appeared to be at their very best. We sat amid prayers, we stood and worshiped, and we shouted and danced our praises to our Most Wondrous King! The music was fantastic! We reveled in each minute. What we came away with is more than I can write about in one post. But we want to come back next year and volunteer and be a part of such a spectacular event! The Barlow Girls talked about not worrying about what you can or can't do and focus on what the Lord wants you doing. They had a very inspiring testimony. Our brother Blogawakening is really living that!
To our brother Dave in Christ....we cannot thank you enough for your most Jesus-like hospitality. It was truly a pleasure to meet you and your family. I look forward to seeing you all in heaven. Stacy...we didn't get much time together, but if we are still here next year maybe we will get more working together at the fest! I hope that more of you here may have the opportunity next year to attend!

Sue,
Awesome. Just awesome.
I am so glad it was so wonderful for all of you.
I know there is going to be a lot of really tired folks tonight.
But I think the LORD was pleased with it all.
Tell M. I will have a special place for him in my heart, for his making it happen so you and Cheryl could have this experience. It would really be great if you, Cheryl, and Sandy could all three go with your entire families.
And tell Cheryl she'll have to stuff a pair of sweat pants in her purse for when the sun goes down.
Well, I'll talk to you soon.
Love you lots.
Sue
It is awesome.
Thank you for sharing with us.
sheila
very cool. wish I could have been there with my family also. if we are around next year I've got to figure out how to combine vacation with going to this festival!
Sue,
Thanks for posting your pictures online. It's nice to see the fruit of prayers.
BTY, The pictures are really great.
lori
Sue,
Great pictures!!
Wish I could post all mine, that would be way too many :)
Hi Sue
What has been going on? When did all this strife start and how has it gotten so out of control?
I missed a couple of blogs and have been back for the last 2 weeks and seen some miserable comments but was shocked to read Judy's post last night! How could Wilma and Child bang heads that way? Very sad!!!
We can only pray!
I hope you and both your families are well. I am abit nervous to post personal stuff on Joel's site so found yours.
God Bless.
Yours in Christ
jeri.
Hi Jeri,
I know exactly what you mean. I haven't had the "stomach" to post at Joels. You know our enemy is going to come in and destroy what was obviously reaching many people for Christ. Joels site has become something I do not even recognize from the fellowship that was shared there only a year ago. I don't know what to say about Wilma and Child other than I believe they are both victims of the one who is stirring strife all over Joels.
My family is fine. Keep Jaisen in your prayers as he had a biopsy done and results are due back this coming week. Yep, Lisa's son Jaisen.
Good to see you. How is Mrs. "gloom and doom"? Good I hope. I have been back to work since June and life has changed quite abit with mommy working!
Take care of yourself....till we meet in the sky!
Hi Sue
Hope the biopsy results were OK! Pray all is well with both your families. Are you still doing your walks?
I have put in one or 2 posts on Joel's site but really miss the old regulars. There are still some good teachings coming through so I don't mind too much.
Not so easy being a working mom, I watch Mrs Doom & Gloom and am very impressed with the patience she and all you moms have! No change there I am afraid, she and I need pray as we are going through a rough patch at the moment! She is cross with God and needs to soften her out look and be more forgiving.
I post on Jib's site to see how Marge and others are. I will pop in to this site to say hi once in a while.
Have a great week, wahts left of it!
God Bless
jeri.
Jeri,
Thanks for checking in. Many of us are now meeting over at Sheilas. If you have time some day stop on in.
Jaisens tests were negative. Keep praying tho as the doctors said he has a rare form tumor that most likely will come back and could possibly turn cancerous at some point.
Will be praying for you and Mrs. I do know about those 'rough patches', and you know we all go thru them. Marriage is no walk in the park! :) Well maybe some days!
Take care Jeri!
Sue --- oh dear friend, the tears just started flowing after readign Judy's post over at Joel's....there is so much I want to say but I am sure you are stretched for time now more than ever before.Stay well and strong for yourself, your family, and to be able to share the peace of Christ through the weeks ahead. You are loved so much by so many...know I'll be praying diligently for all of you and if you need me for anything... just type...sadly this too reminds me of my life...I lost my dad to a heart attack 4 years after my mom died of breast cancer. So you KNOW I'll be praying for Jaisen and all the rest of that weary family, especially at this time of the year. Again, know you are being held up in prayer and loved so very much. Hang in there and hang onto God!!! hugs from VA--- jen
Sue -- Thanks for checking in....I can't imagine how busy you are right now!! Know that I'm praying for you and I have a few friends in Christ out here in VA praying for you and Jaisen also!!!
I didn't know how to delete just one comment so I deleted the post and opened up a new one..you'll have to explain the delete thing later when all is calm....
Stay in His word and may you all be covered by His Peace and love....hugs from me to you!!!--jen
Sue,
If I have offended you, a child of the King, Stacy, or anyone else I ask that you would please forgive me. And also pass this on, if you will, as well. It is not, and never has been my intent to stir up strife, and if that's been the result of some people becoming victims, I am sincerely sorry. Although, I do have my opinion, on issues, along with everyone else. And sometimes those opinions may be different. Anyway, I do hope that you can all find it in your hearts to forgive me.
And may you all also have a very Happy and prosperous New Year-2008!
I am looking forward to meeting you, and the others, at Lw's Cafe, where there will be no discord, or strife of any kind, amen?
Love,
Marge
Marge,
Sue has given me permission to respond to your post here on her blogspot.
I want you to know that I forgave you a long time ago.
I wish you all the best as you continue your walk with Him.
In His love,
A Child of the King
a child of the King,
Thank you.
I also wanted you to know how much I have appreciated your ministry of love, and prayer support.
May God continue to bless you, and may His face shine upon you, and give you His peace, that passeth all understanding.
Love,
Marge
Sue -- hey girl!I have been busy but it is all good! I have really been praying for you and your family and Jaisen's family lately. Is his dad ok? Last I saw he was headed in for very serious tests. I pray that they are finding comfort in the Lord and rest in your awesome friendship!
I do miss all of us getting together at Child's place...but, as always He has made it for good...it has forced me to really seek Him in His Word and not rely on others but only the Word and the Spirit. And I am in a Fantastic church now...and bible study when I can make it...God is so incredibly good!! Plus my 2 oldest have now said that they have asked Jesus into their hearts...and even better...my hubby is really showing interest and not just wanting to argue!! So I am praying that He is calling himand that acceptance of the most amazing gift is near for him.
So, I have been constant in prayer and as always intrigued by the current events!! Sister, it truly won't be long now..you can almost feel Him moving all around us!! How honored are we to be living in these times, how blessed are we to be able to struggle and fight knowing that because we are in strife He is assuring us that we have not beem conquered by satan but are reserved for Him. Now I finally get what Paul was saying....joy in tribulation!! Because it is our tangible proof that we are on the RIGHT side!!God is awesome , isn't he???!!
Sue, I hope you know how eager I am to meet you at the cafe and to offer a geat big HUG af thankfulness for all of your encouragement and support...God is using you and has used you in my life for such good works!!
love you, girl!!and don't train too hard for your race, go easy on those feet!!! hugs from va--- jen
Sounds incredible!!!
Sue ---- sooo great to hear from you....seems like everyone has kinda gone on a very long vacation since Child shut her site down....still thinking of all of you and miss our chats...do you all keep in touch with e-mails I hope??!!! Is everyone doing well ? Please give my love to them all next time you talk to them!!!
I love how God works!!! I started rereading the notes for new Christians on Friday (the same day you posted to me) and realized that I never got to finish printing the series out...I was able to get to the 5th session, but I pretty sure there was at least one more "week" that she had posted...do you have it? If so , whenever you have a spare moment( HA! HA! HA! I know you must be totally crazy/busy right now with football/school/work/etc!)if you could send it to me I would really love to finish reading all that she had posted!
As far as the family, the kids are all awesome! Hubby and i have been through some really rough times this year...there is light right now and I have been praying that all of our marriage problems be taken from me (I just can't keep worrying anymore) and that He would use all for His glory.Just so you know , they are not "deal-breakers" as far as the problems go just heartbreakers ...mostly due to the difference it what we have as a foundation in life to build on...that "yoked" thing again. But , His time...and i do think it's coming soon...the Russia/Georgia conflicy has really sparked his interest...please Lord, call him/nudge him/speak to him so that he will know You ...
So how about you and your gang??? How's the job?? The kids??Your hubby?? Did you get to enjoy the pool quite a bit this summer??Sure hope so and that you were able to find some time to relax and rest in Him...know you are loved and thought of so often !!!
Have fun back-to-school shopping ( I dread sending them back...tears already want to fall!!)!! Just love them soo much!!
well better go check on the 4 of them now and make sure their morning chores were done...love and lots of hugs heading your way sis-----keep in touch---luv- jen
Sue --- thanks so much for getting the list of articles from Child for me. I will get my packet out again soon and let you know which ones I need e-mailed...riht now we are getting last minute back-to-school stuff under control and what not.
We probably will not go to the Awakening...hubby is really struggling....all I can do is pray and be the best wife and mom I can be....God will take care of the rest.He is sooo close...he's right where I was when Child explained the difference in knowing a chair could hold you up and just sitting down and believing it would. His words to me are that he "wants" to believe and he 'hopes' there is heaven and that he will go but he's still not 'sure'....add him to your prayers if you would..
So, has asthma season been ok for you and your son?? I thought of you cuz hayfever and ragweed are in full force here and with no rain for such a long time, it is also very dusty...a nightmare for my kids and their allergies...they are great kids though and are dealing with it all really well.
Wel, take care and thanks again...I'll catch up with you again soon about those articles...tell Child I love her and hope she is feeling well !! Hugs to you both-----jen
